Sometimes a woman feels that she needs breast augmentation, but really all she needs is a breast lift. Sagging of the breasts affect our body profile, making the breasts look smaller in a side view. But it doesn’t necessarily take away any breast volume.
In a breast lift, Dr. Core will make customized incisions over the breasts. There are three ways this is usually done: (a) around the areola; (b) around the areola and downwards to the crease, and (c) around the areola, downwards to the crease and along the crease. Which one Dr. Core uses will depend on how much tissue needs to be lifted or reshaped.
The nipple and areola will be repositioned to sit up higher on the breast. If necessary, the areolas can be reduced in size. Any excess skin is removed from the breast, and the incisions closed. Resulting scars will be partly hidden by a bra, and partly hidden in the crease, and will usually fade and shrink right down to be hardly visible.
