VASER Liposuction

Core Plastic Surgery is announces the addition of the latest technology from Sound Surgical Company, Inc. which produces the ultrasonic assisted lipoplasty method for body contouring. Ultrasonic assisted lipoplasty, invented in Italy in the early 1990's,did not become popular in the United States until approximately ten years ago. Dr. Core is one of the first surgeons in the United States to become expert with ultrasonic assisted lipoplasty.The advantage of ultrasonic lipoplasty over traditional liposuction and also over laser assisted liposuction is that the ultrasonic technology is not indiscriminate as the others are.Traditional liposuction removes everything that can be suctioned into the cannula and laser assisted liposuction produces a hot laser which indiscriminately lasers everything in its path.Ultrasonic assisted lipoplasty is a technique which is selective for fat and; therefore, has been given the name "LipoSelection" trademark.This technique, in Dr. Core's hands, has been shown to reduce contour deformities after lipocontouring and reduce the need forsecondary procedures.It has also been shown to be helpful in correcting previous liposuction deformities from other methods.Less extensive cases of VASER lipoplasty can be done under local and mild sedation in our office.
