As you may be aware Governor of the State of Alabama, Kay Ivey, as well as the Jefferson County Health Commissioner, Mark Wilson, have issued orders that will severely limit our ability to function normally over the next few weeks. We have followed their recommendations and thus delay in some appointments and planned procedures will be unavoidable since our highest priority is your safety. Based on their orders we will only be able to see recent post-operative patients or emergencies. However, we will continue to remain open and will utilize this time in several ways for your benefit as noted below:
1 – We will be able to provide consultations and even some post op appointments by remote access which can be arranged as usual by calling Regina at 205-397-2104 or Amanda at 205-397-2100. Fortunately, due to today’s internet technology (FaceTime or Skype) this makes virtual appointments easy. Regina will help you to prepare for your consultation in advance as well as a post op visit as well. For those of you who do come to our office there will be special precautions as outlines in my last email.
2 – We are going to offer skin care webinars by our outstanding senior aesthetician, Adina Barnett, who has over 20 years experience in the skin care industry. Adina will review skin care regimens, inform you of the latest innovative products, and she will also be able to take orders and ship things to you for free. Our Clinal Supervisor and head nurse, Beth, will also be on some of these video feeds. These live podcasts will be available twice daily and the times posted on our website.
3 – Dr. Core will be on the web also with updates about recent innovations in fat grafting, lasers, and surgery so be sure to stay tuned for those as well.
Our office will have limited hours from 9 to 3 during this time until April 6th. We are still available 24/7 through our answering service for any concerns or questions from established patients. We appreciate your patience during the time.
We remain ready to serve your needs as soon as this time passes. We pray for the nation and for all the people who have become infected with this virus.
As a member of all the world’s largest and preeminent plastic surgery societies, ISAPS, ASAPS, ASPS, and AAPS, we remain ever vigilant in terms of supplying you with information regarding the outbreak that is affecting so many countries around the world. We plan to resume normal business operations as soon as we are able.
