The Many Uses of Botox

Do fine lines and wrinkles have you wishing for a solution to younger looking skin? Perhaps you’ve started noticing the formation of small wrinkles at a young age and would like to stop the progression of wrinkles in their tracks?

Botox Cosmetic is FDA-cleared for the treatment of lines and wrinkles, and is especially effective at stopping wrinkles before they ever form. Commonly injected into the forehead, in between the eyebrows, crows feet and corners of the mouth, Botox Cosmetic works by paralyzing the small facial muscles it is injected to.

This process prevents the muscles from moving as your facial expressions change, which also prevents the formation of new wrinkles. Botox Cosmetic can also be used to slightly raise the arches of the eyebrows.

However, in addition to the cosmetic uses of Botox there are also several other ways to use Botox to improve your health and quality of life. For instance, did you know that Botox could be injected into your hands, feet or underarm area to stop excessive sweating? Also known as hyperhidrosis, excessive sweating is a legitimate medical condition that can be temporarily alleviated with Botox.

Additionally, Botox can be used to improve migraine pain and most recently to improve symptoms of an overactive bladder.
