What is Bellafill?

Bellafill is a dermal filler that is designed to treat nasolabial folds, or smile lines, which extend from the nose to the corners of the mouth. The Bellafill formula is composed of a smooth collagen gel that creates smooth, instant volume upon injection. Within this gel are polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres, which attract and promote the growth of natural collagen. With this unique combination, patients can achieve both an instant boost in volume and a long-lasting increase in collagen that preserves your results for years.

Benefits of Bellafill

Bellafill is the only FDA-approved injectable that was proven to be effective as long as five years after treatment, far longer than any other cheek fillers available. With Bellafill Birmingham patients have experienced the following benefits:

  • Instant results
  • Quick treatment
  • Little to no discomfort
  • Increased facial volume
  • No downtime or recovery
  • Reduction in wrinkles and folds around the mouth

Who is a Good Candidate for Bellafill?

The ideal candidate for Bellafill is 21 or older and would like to diminish the appearance of nasolabial folds. Bellafill and its ingredients are safe for all skin types. Collagen injections like Bellafill can also help patients avoid touch-up treatments that are often required with other injectable treatments.

How do I Prepare for my Bellafill Treatment?

There is no preparation needed for Bellafill treatments except for arriving at your appointment with a freshly washed face if possible.

What is Involved in my Bellafill Treatment?

The first step in your Bellafill treatment is applying a topical anesthetic to the injection site. This numbs the skin to minimize any discomfort that may occur during the injection process. Then, a number of injections will be made into and around the nasolabial folds. The collagen gel instantly fills out these wrinkles, producing smooth, natural-looking volume.

What to Expect After a Bellafill Treatment?

After your Bellafill treatment, there is no downtime or recovery period necessary. You will be able to resume work and other normal activities immediately after your appointment. Some patients may experience redness or tenderness at the injection site, but these effects are common and typically fade within a day or two.

When Will I see the Results From Bellafill?

The results from your Birmingham Bellafill treatment will be visible immediately. As your body breaks down the collagen gel in the Bellafill formula, your body will produce its own collagen to replace it. This creates incredibly long-lasting cosmetic results, which are clinically proven to last up to five years.

How Much Does Bellafill Cost in Birmingham?

The cost of Bellafill varies with each patient based on the extent of the area to be treated and whether other treatments are done at the same time. We can go over the costs with you as well as payment and financing options. In addition to accepting cash, checks, and credit cards, we offer financing through CareCredit®. Grady Core, M.D., F.A.C.S., a board-certified plastic surgeon, provides Bellafill and other injectable face fillers to residents of Mountain Rock, Birmingham, and the nearby areas of Alabama.
