Voluma is a new hydroxy appetite-based filler from the makers of Juvederm and Juvederm XC. Designed for longer-lasting lift, this soft yet durable gel maintains a smooth contour after injection.
Voluma is estimated to last approximately two years—longer than Juvederm Ultra, which lasts roughly one year. Keep in mind that duration refers to how long material remains in the area; effects may begin to soften earlier even though some gel persists at the two-year mark.
Voluma primarily replaces mid-facial volume—covering the mid cheek, base of the nose, and nasolabial folds. Less experienced injectors often place fillers too superficially, leading to lumps. Voluma should be placed deeper for a natural contour and is not indicated for lips or other superficial areas.
